Born in Brooklyn, New York, Takisha has been involved in sports and fitness almost her entire life—playing a variety of competitive sports from a very young age. She continued her passion for sports by playing collegiate level basketball and tennis at York College in Queens New York. She received her B.S. in Physical and Health Education in 2007. After college, she jumped into a new challenge by joining the U.S. Army where she completed a tour of duty in Saudia Arabia and made history by being the first woman appointed to coach the U.S. Army Saudia Arabia All Male basketball team.
Takisha has continued her commitment to health and fitness by working as a personal trainer for over ten years. Her philosophy is ‘fitness requires more than willpower, desire or ability, it requires being emotionally committed and excited about your program.’ To ensure she’s able to provide the best experience and personalized programs for her clients she holds a Personal Training certification from the National Academy for Sports and Medicine, as well as specialized certifications in Corrective Exercise, Pre-and Post-Natal, Sports and Performance Enhancement, and Behavior Change. On her off time she is attempting to complete a marathon on all seven continents.
